Youth on drugs

Shivika Sharma
Dictionary defines 'drugs' as a substance used for medical purpose, 'cigar and cigarette' as tobacco rolls and 'alcohol' as pure, colorless liquid. But it wouldn't be ennoneous to justify them as venom. In this 21st century, the modernized era, we find these harmful things in every alternate pocket of jeans worn by today's wild youth.
Youth, the word which defines today for the future, should take every step sprudently. They are the ones who should be chasing vision of their future, not heaving through corrupted lungs. Regardless of having given a lavish life, they choose the kerbs.
I pity those youngsters who come home with trembling legs andred eyes. And those who don't even reach their homes, who arefound in tranquil state or sometimes even dead due to overdose of drugs.
But needless to blame them nor their helpless guardians. I question the authorities; the ones who can stop the easy accessof harmful drugs. The regulations are formed and efforts have been made. But it's time for action. There are strict checking for vehicle riders and also punishment for drink and drive case. Butthat's only limited to the ones who drive. For the betterment of youth as a whole as well as an individual, the authorities shouldcontrol its supply or exaggerate its price.
As Aristotle said, "Good habits at youth make all the difference." Youth is freshness, vigor and spirit, not a troublesome empty mind. Teach, protect and polish them.
