KATHMANDU, MAY 26 - All was well for Siddhartha Sigdel (name changed) before he started living in a private hostel to pursue engineering studies some five years ago.
Initially, he did well in exams and excelled in sports. However, things started taking an ugly turn the following year. He was introduced to smoking marijuana (cannabis) by his seniors at a farewell party.
Afraid of being an outcast, he did not refuse his friends’ request. What happened between that day and his present stay at a private rehabilitation centre is a story that he detests to share.
